Rhythms & Routines
Hi everyone!
I’m holding true to my commitment to write more blog posts. I think one of the major reasons I haven’t been writing many over the last few years is fear that no one really cares… well, that and the thought that my life isn’t interesting enough. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that’s not completely true.
Yes, life is about rhythms & routines and sometimes that’s not glamorous. Discipline in the mundane tasks can be a bit boring. Sometimes my weeks consist of waking up, walking my dog, quiet time with the Lord, going to work, coming home (if I’m lucky- taking a nap!), trying to write songs when I can, working out, then making dinner and falling asleep before 10pm after reading for a little bit. So exciting.
My view most days… (Shoutout to the best job I’ve ever had! CFGC is where it’s at!)
It’s really easy for me to dismiss my life in Nashville as nothing crazy but then I remember all of the people I meet at shows who think living in Nashville sounds like the most exciting thing ever. And it is sometimes. The truth of the matter is, no matter where you live, everyone’s life has exciting moments. Everyone is the main character of their life. (All of my people who love The Holiday know what I’m talking about.)
Between the daily routines, I see celebrities in my grocery store, or I go to my weekly acting class that’s taught by a soap opera star. I meet someone from a different state, or country, that has an incredible life story. I get the opportunity to go to a fun event or a funky bar to hear great live music. Exciting moments don’t happen often but when you live in a city like Nashville they’re always waiting for you right around the corner; that alone is exciting!
Labor Day weekend was cozy. Rainy evenings, a candle, good music, yummy food, and a cuddly pup. What more could a girl ask for?
My exciting moment this week was having dinner with some new friends on Labor Day and Huckleberry refusing to potty during a downpour of rain that ended with him being a muddy mess and me being soaked to the bone. Oh, and leveling up on my learning Italian game. Io mangio il pane. < I did a lot of that this weekend haha.
Most days consist of this. I. Love. Him.
I’m currently trying to find a friend to go to a ABBA Disco party in Nash this weekend. The spectrum of exciting truly is whatever you make it. I’m embracing everything as exciting these days. The fact you and I woke up this morning is exciting.
Maybe my next post will have something big and fun to share but right now I’m okay with celebrating small things…
Fall is almost here so you guys know my Sagittarius heart will be doing ALL the fun fall things. I can’t wait to share them with you. For now, here’s a little glimpse of my weekly life in Nashville.
